Rav Amital, Rosh Yeshivat Har Etzion

This week we will mark three years since the passing of Rav Yehuda Amital.

He always appreciated simplicity, and educated his students not to depend on others, but rather to think and act in an independent fashion.

Hopefully, we may, even in a few paragraphs, remind ourselves of what we can learn from his actions and sayings.

Rabbi Noam Himelstein studied in Yeshivat Har Etzion and served in the Tanks Corps of the IDF.

He has taught in yeshiva high schools, post-high school women’s seminaries, and headed the Torah MiTzion Kollel in Melbourne, Australia. He currently teaches at Yeshivat Orayta in Jerusalem, and lives with his wife and six children in Neve Daniel, Gush Etzion.
