About 1,800 people came to the Sands Atlantic Beach on Jan. 5 to salute Achiezer and those honored at its “My Brother, My Helper” gala.
County Executive Laura Curran and Nassau Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder spoke about Achiezer’s good work and pledged to support the Jewish community during this period of increased anti-Semitism. Others speakers discussed the dedication of all of those devoted to Achiezer's mission.
Honorees included Jason and Danielle Bokor (guests of honor), Dr. Jonathan Herman (man of the year), Dr. Daniel and Riki Haller (excellence in medicine), Stacey Zrihen (pillar of chesed), and Ari and Deena Weinstein (young leadership).
